Dyed Macaroni, Rice, Beans, etc.

TEMPERA POWDER PAINT

TEMPERA LIQUID PAINT

2/3 paint powder

Shake bottle well.

1/3 water

1/8 liquid starch (i.e. Glide)

Pour into a container and dilute with water to desired consistency stirring until smooth.

Shake until smooth in a container with a lid.

How to do it:

Add macaroni, rice, beans, egg shells or other dry goods you wish to dye. Leave for about 5 minutes stirring periodically. Remove using a strainer or slotted spoon and spread on sheets of newspaper to dry overnight. Keep disturbing items so they don't stick as much while drying. When completely dry, store in an airtight container for later use.
