recognize shapes in things around them (ie. signs, houses, roads, buildings,

shapes of all sizes, pictures with shapes outlined on them (ie. a picture
of a house with the triangle, square and rectangle shapes within it
outlined in felt pen or windowed some how) |

posters of hidden things to find (ie. a picture of a tree with a task
of finding the ten bunnies hiding somewhere in the tree, posters of
signs, abstract art |

films or videos of counting,
alphabet, shapes, numbers, colors (ie. art films), trips to an art gallery
or museum of art to see colors in pictures, shapes in statues and sculptures,
an artist to talk about colors and shapes and how to create them and
use them, a nurse or technician from a well baby clinic to show measurements
done on babies and young children to monitor their growth |
