many boys are there here today?"
- wait for answer,
confirm together by counting heads out loud and then continue with,
- "How
many people have their shoes on today?"

many boys and girls have red hair?"
- "How
many chairs are there at this table?"
- "How
many blue cars can you see?"
- "How
many babies are there here today?" "How many signs
can you see?"
- "How
many pictures are on this page?"
- "How
many pages are there in this newspaper (just
take about 5 to 10 pages)", etc. etc.
- call upon
different children to answer different questions
- always verify
their answers by all focusing on the subject in question and counting
together out loud
- count by ones
- count loudly,
slowly, and clearly
- continue game
until children are tired or lose interest

to ask the "How many questions" of each other
