You will need:
- a paper plate
for each child
- green construction
paper or coloured paper
- masking tape on
wax paper
- children’s craft
scissors
- crayons
- dyed egg shells
(pre-soaked in food coloring)
- white glue
What to do:
- pre-cut out
the legs, head and tail for the younger children, but encourage the older
children to do this for themselves
- tell children
they are going to be making a turtle
- the plate
will be the turtle’s shell and they are to make him a head, four legs
and a little tail
- encourage
children to tape these in place around their turtle’s shell
- use glue
and dyed egg shells to decorate the turtle’s back
- label work
and clean up
