You will need:
- 1 egg carton
cup for each child
- 2 pipe cleaners
per child (each one cut into four pieces for legs)
- a darning
needle
- a length of
yarn for each child (with a double knot pre-tied in end)
- small black
dots for eyes (use a hole punch to make them from black colored
paper)
- white glue
What
to do:
- use needle
to pre-poke leg holes (8)
and then thread yarn through top of carton cup to suspend the spider
from cup (older
children can poke pieces of pipe cleaner into cup and can use a pencil
to poke a small hole for their yarn to go through)
- encourage
children to poke pipe cleaner legs into edge holes
- glue on eyes
- label work
- clean up
