You will need:
- a large-sized
play space
- a circle masked
out on the floor for the spider web
- a wall or
other designated ‘safe’ space for the flies
What to do:
- divide the
group of children in half
- one half of
the children are the flies
- the other
half are the spiders
- the spiders
go into the circle on their ‘web’
- the fliies
stand outside the circle or ‘web’ and tease the spiders
- on the leader’s
command, the spiders chase after the flies and bring them back to
their ‘web’
- if the flies
make it safely to their home (the
wall),
the spiders must return to their web and wait for another turn
- game continues
until all flies are caught or children wish to change places
