You will need:
- assorted
pairs of hearts cut out and decorated so that each heart has an exact
duplicate
- ie. patterns that
match, size, color, etc.
What to do:
- encourage children
to mix the hearts up and then try and sort them into pairs that match
OR
- turn all cards
over and mix up
- encourage children
to take turns looking for pairs ie. 1st child turns a heart over, then
selects another to turn over in hopes of a match
- if successful,
players could get another turn
- if unsuccessful,
cards are turned back over and left in the same spot and the next child
has a turn
- game ends when
all pairs are found
- make it a co-operative
game - everyone wins when all cards have been matched!
- Older children
count individual pairs of cards to see who won.
