You will need:
- 1/2 an egg shell
for each child (or one egg carton cup)
- two cotton balls
per child
- yellow tempera
paint and a plastic bag
- decorations for
eyes (ie. sequins, rolly eyes, paper circles, etc.)
- small orange
triangles for the beak (one for each child)
- white glue
What to do:
- lightly
dust cotton balls in yellow tempera paint (shake
out excess) by placing 1/4 tsp. paint in a plastic
bag, add cotton balls and shake
- encourage children
to build a little 'chick' in the 1/2 egg shell (or egg carton cup)
- glue one cotton
ball into the base of the egg shell
- clean up
