You will need:
- one
long sheet of background paper for each child
- 2
large poppies pre-cut from red construction paper per child
- lots
of small squares of black tissue paper (ie.
1"square)
- 2
green strips of construction paper (for
the stems)
- glue
sticks
- crayons
What to do:
- tell children
they are going to make a picture of poppies
- first glue the
green stalks or stems onto the background paper
- next, glue on
a red flower to the top of each stalk
- then, scrunch
up the black tissue paper squares and lgue them to the centres of each
of the flowers
- using crayons,
encourage children to draw on a fancy vase or flower pot
- label pictures
- clean up
