Bike Wash
(buckets
and rags)
You will need:
- buckets of
warm soapy water
- buckets of
clear water for rinsing
- assorted old
rags
- assorted spritz
bottles (ie.
window cleaner bottles well rinsed; these could be
filled with plain water or water mixed with a little vinegar)
What to do:
- assign different
areas out of doors for different parts of the bike washing process
- set up one area
with a bucket of soapy water, one or two rags, a bucket of rinse water
and one or two rags for washing the main parts of the bike
- set up another
area with soapy water, rinse water, and rags for washing the wheels
- set up a final
area with spritz bottles filled with warm vinegar water and a few
rags for cleaning the seat of the bicycle
Encourage
children to take their bike through each part just like a carwash has parts
for washing, rinsing, drying and polishing.
