What to do:
using an exacto
or cutter knife, pre-cut 5 slits just large enough to permit a child
to poke a popsicle stick into without sliding back out. (slits
should be positioned so that one is on the top side of the roll for
the horses's neck, and the other four are on the underside of the
roll for the horse's legs)
for younger
children, pre-cut the shape of a horse's head from a lightweight cardboard
box
encourage
children to make a horse using the parts offered
tape or glue
the head onto the top of a popsicle stick that will become the horse's
neck and then draw on facial features
glue or tape
on yarn for the horse's mane
insert popsicle
stick into the neck slit
tape or glue
on yarn strands for the horse's tail
clean up
