You will need:
- one large
round coffee filter for each child
- white glue
- colored paper
for head, legs and wattle (skin on beak)
- crayons or water-based
markers for decorating turkey
What to do:
- pre-cut
out the heads, legs and wattles
- get children to
color 'feathers' all around the edge of their filters (on one side),
using red, orange, yellow and brown crayons
- turn filters over
- encourage children to smear glue evenly
over uncolored side of coffee filters
- fold filters in half and press
- draw eye on head and glue head onto centre
of folded coffee filter
- glue turkey's legs on just underneath
head and neck part
- glue on wattle over turkey's beak
- label work and clean up
